Stefan Kraus performed Missing messenger on the occasion of Musarc’s performance at MK Gallery at MK Gallery on 21 March 2105. Prints based on Stefan’s drawings made during that day, and a photograph of his performance became part of MK Calling 2015. The artist’s statement for the exhibition reads:
‘On 21 March 2015 I performed Missing messenger at Milton Keynes Gallery. For seven hours I was dressed as a postal courier and spent my time on the gallery square as well as in the gallery with my parcels, a tennis ball, an mp3 player, paper and pens. During these hours I neglected my delivery duties and indulged: reading, listening to music, playing and drawing.
I have translated some of the many drawings I made on the day into eight lino cuts which I submitted to MK Gallery’s MK Calling 2015. The linocuts were wallpapered to the one of the walls of the gallery along with a photograph of the performance in March taken by Yiannis Katsaris.’
All photographs by Yiannis Katsaris.
