
Paul Emery is a film maker, video artist and educator currently living in Leeds, West Yorkshire. After studying sociology at University of Leeds he co-founded Hutah Visuals working in the field of filmmaking and motion graphics for eight years. Hutah specialised in visual design and the live presentation of moving image, and worked nationwide as technical consultants and live performers.
In 2003, Paul left to establish Seen which provides video production and graphic services both commercially and in an educational context. Paul was part time lecturer in video production at the University of Salford and is now an associate senior lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University’s Innovation North. He is a founder member of the School of Interactive and Algorithmic Art and has been an active member of electronic arts collective V3ctor since its creation in 1998. He is currently invloved in work which involves computational approaches to moving image design.
Paul worked with Joseph Kohlmaier on a real-time sound/visualization piece for Chambers 23–27/03/09.
