Michael Betteridge

Michael graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009 with first class honours and the Hargreaves Prize for composition. Since graduating his music has won various awards and has been performed at numerous venues nationally. His latest musical Indigestion was selected by the Library Theatre as part of their re:play festival showcasing the best fringe theatre in Manchester at The Lowry in Salford Quays in January this year. Michael also practises as an animateur and teacher having worked for the LSO, BCMG, BBC Philharmonic and Opera North. Whilst at the RNCM his music has been workshopped by the Manchester Camerata and the BBC Singers and performed in various concerts including the recent Shakespeare Day of Song and New Music North West. Michael is in the first year of his MMus in Composition studying under Gary Carpenter and Adam Gorb having been awarded a scholarship.
